About
The steep technical section of a trail run, 50 degree no-fall zone on a ski line, or class IV rapid following a flat section are the adrenaline pinnacles of a mountain adventure. Focus, strength, and skill are your guides to carry you through safely. To arrive at these moments in the first place requires strong endurance and fitness. This is the Mountain Athlete approach, a combo of strength training to prepare you for those critical moments, coupled with traditional endurance training required for any activity in the mountains.
Traditional mountain athletes you'll see on podiums are super lean, covering long distances and big climbs at incredible speeds. At Mountain Athlete we train for endurance, but couple in a healthy dose of strength and hypertrophy into our programs too.

Mission
We are dedicated to integrating fitness with mountain activities by offering unique programs focused on building strength, endurance, and resilience for outdoor adventures. We're not always chasing podiums, but are looking for the next challenge.

Vision
Our goal is to create a base camp for outdoor enthusiasts where people can connect with other athletes through our community, stay informed on the Colorado outdoor scene through our newsletter, and improve fitness through training programs.

About Me
Tyler Blake
My journey began in the suburbs of Chicago, and as you can imagine, it's not filled with mountains. After my first vacation to CO as a teenager, I moved as quickly as possible after high school and planted roots in '08 . Taking full advantage of the best playground in the world, my adventure appetite kept growing. After completing a few challenges including cycling the Triple Bypass, summiting the 58 14ers, and skiing backcountry lines my activity list continues to grow. Now I'm hoping to expand the community of like-minded enthusiasts!
